The Hospital Set doesn't appear in any Fleur catalogue I have seen, but it is promoted on the back of the Amazone Fleur box from around 1984 - so it's from the mid-1980s. It was still sold as late as 1986, because it is promoted in the 1986 Fleur booklet. The name is slightly misleading, because the box contains only one bed with full accessories: bedding, tray table, surgery instruments, and a health chart (Fleur must be feeling better, because her temperature is falling!). The head rest of the bed can be raised or lowered - just like a real hospital bed. To have a complete play set as pictured on the box, you'd need to purchase two of these beds.

Which Fleurs are in the picture? On the left, redhead Fleur (lying down) is wearing the blue lingerie outfit 1236. Fleur standing in the middle is Baby Nurse doll. Her baby is in bed held by Fleur in pink, who is wearing outfit 1255. The baby standing on the floor is Pretty Baby (page coming soon!).

The white Bar-Cabinet is difficult to date to a specific year, because it doesn't seem to appear in any Fleur promotional materials, like booklets or ads. All we know for sure is that it's 1985 or earlier, because of the box design (in 1986, all Fleur boxes changed to light green with smaller flowers).

This cabinet is a completely stand-alone item - it doesn't match any other Fleur furniture set. The closest friends of this piece are the white chair and bench (which are in the 'garden' section because their promo photos are in a garden). The cabinet is made of sturdy white plastic with a decorative topper and legs. The door moulding is beautifully covered with gold paint, giving it a very elegant air. There are three small working drawers, and two shelves behind the cabinet doors.

The elegant white piano belongs to the lovely In Concert Fleur doll in her signature pink dress. Both the doll and the piano were released in 1982.

The piano has a music box inside, which plays the "Fleur melody" as you turn the crank (arm) on the right side. Scroll below to play the audio file - but be warned, it sounds terrible due to the turning mechanism. The green melody book is not included with the piano, but with the In Concert Fleur doll.

It's 1979 - the second year of Fleur production - and she already gets a washing machine! And not just any machine - it's a combo washer-dryer that really washes, dries and drains. The side of the box helpfully shows all the instructions in English and Dutch, as shown below. The washer-dyer is heavy, well made, and very realistic in its design. It's a beautiful relic of its time - easy to imagine it in some 1970s domestic life museum.
