Fleur outfit # 1240 is a romantic circle dress called 'Nostalgie' in the 1981 trade catalogue. The dress has a dark green top, and white skirt overprinted with a delicate flower pattern. Over the dress - a green-trimmed white vest made from the same fabric as the skirt. Three skirt fabric variations have been found so far - all modelled by Fleur dolls.
Accessories: green-and-white hat, green bag
Shoes: dark green kitten heels with small flower
This outfit 1241 is two fun looks in one - a bright white-and-green striped top and wrap skirt, both with a single white button. Remove the skirt to reveal tailored green shorts - so cute!
In the 1981 trade catalogue, this outfit is called 'Summerparty'.
Accessories: green-and-white hat, square green bag with a striped handle, white ribbon (for hair?)
Shoes: white kitten heels with small flower
Ready to race? Fleur fashion 1242 looks inspired by motorcycle racing - this outfit is called 'Grandprix'. The three Fleurs look like a world-class team in their one-piece jumpers with a real pockets and front zippers. This outfit comes in three colours - pink, green, and dark blue.
Fun fact: if you look at the catalogue photo (bottom right), you will see the Fleur in pink Grandprix outfit wearing sunglasses on her head, and a silver trophy in her hand. The Fleurs in the official promo photo (top left) also have a trophy, but no sunglasses. Is it possible this outfit came with accessories? Yes - although we'll never know until we see a boxed example. After all, sunglasses and trophies are important in all racing sports.
Accessories: matching removable hood
Shoes: white sandals
In the 1981 trade catalogue, Fleur outfit # 1243 is called 'Morning Walk' - and it really is perfect for a chilly morning. A fluffy blue jacket with dark blue cuffs and hem, worn over a light blue turtleneck, plus white pants.
Fun fact: this outfit comes with cute glasses almost identical to Barbie's original sunglasses. They are nearly invisible in the promo photo (top left), but thanks to Angela at vintage_fleur_doll you can see exactly what they look like in photos below.
Accessories: white hat made from the same fabric as the pants, cat's eye glasses with blue lenses
Shoes: white sandals
Fleur outfit 1244 is obviously inspired by Scotland - and it's called 'Scottish Dress' in the 1981 trade catalogue. It's a kilt-style plaid skirt with a side of red fringe, worn with a classic white shirt and a red long-sleeve jacket with real pockets. The skit is pinned with a small gold safety pin.
Without seeing the outfit in box, it's hard to say if the stick in the promo photo (top left) is an accessory - wouldn't it be funny?
Accessories: red tam o' shanter cap, plaid scarf that matches the skirt
Shoes: knee-high red boots
Fleur is pretty in plaid in her outfit # 1245 - simply named 'Knitted Dress' in the catalogue (although the fabric is not knitted, it's just cotton). It's a classic long-sleeve jacket and a below-knee A-line skirt. There are two variations of suit colour and pattern - red and brown (see both in bottom left photo). Under the suit, Fleur wears a white long-sleeve high-neck blouse with a front lace insert and blue string bow. The blouse closes at the back of the neck with one button.
Accessories: hat with a pearl, silver shoulder bag
Shoes: white kitten heels with small flower
In the promo photo, it looks like Fleur might be walking around somewhere in Italy in her outfit 1246 - called 'Purple Checked' in the 1981 catalogue. It is a two-piece set of striped long sleeve top and A-line below-knee skirt, worn with a gray sweater with a striped matching trim.
Note how in the promo photo (top left) the necklace has a red pendant, but in the NRFB outfit (from my own archive) and in the catalogue photo (bottom right) the pendant is silver.
Accessories: striped slouchy hat, silver necklace with red or silver pendant, blue suede bag
Shoes: blue kitten heels with small flower
Fleur outfit 1247 is called 'De Luxe Fun'. It is a beautifully tailored deep brown corduroy coat trimmed with white fur at collar and bottom hem. Underneath, a light brown turtleneck sweater and a beige-and-white check pencil skirt. She looks so chic! Photo of NRFB outfit from an archived Etsy sale.
Accessories: brown corduroy belt with oval gold buckle, brown corduroy hat with white fur trim, gold chain necklace with white teardrop pearl pendant
Shoes: white knee-high boots
On summer days, we wear pink! This is Fleur outfit # 1248 - a bright pink sleeveless top, and white-and-pink striped below-knee A-line skirt. The belt is made from the same fabric as the skirt. The white round hat and white bag are both decorated with lace.
Accessories: fabric belt, white hat and bag, triple red-blue-green bead necklace
Shoes: white kitten heels with small flower
In the 1982 booklet, this outfit is called 'To The Theatre', but it also gives very strong Studio 54 dancefloor vibes. It's a sexy floor-length black satin gown, with halter-style top and deep V neckline, gold square on the front, and gold bias mesh overlay on the skirt. Until I saw this outfit NRFB, I didn't realise it also has a gold chain necklace with a heart pendant and the word 'Cariño' (which means 'darling' in Spanish). It's the same necklace as with Capuchon outfit 1238.
Accessories: gold necklace with heart pendant, small gold handbag, gold mesh head wrap and shawl
Shoes: black kitten heels with small flower
