Outfit 1220 - called Bride - is one of only two outfits sold in both a dark green and light green box (the other is outfit 1236), and with two promo photos. It's a lovely wedding gown with a high neck and 3/4 sleeves. The skirt is plain white with one layer of lace on top. The best thing about it is the large, round, tulle hat - so stylish!
Note 1: Fleur is wearing a necklace in both promo photos, but my boxed outfits have no necklace - it should be included.
Note 2: Fleur's plastic flowers have a clever thumb loop on the stem for holding. The flowers have some colour variations.
Accessories: white bead necklace, large white tulle-and-lace hat, plastic flowers
Shoes: white high heels
The colour of Fleur outfit # 1221 makes it special - it's a beautiful royal blue. Brushed cotton vest with real pockets, below-knee skirt, matching hat and bag, worn with a classic plaid shirt. There are several variations of the shirt fabric.
Fun fact: the photo of outfit in the box is not mine (source unknown), but notice there are no shoes in the box. The doll in the promo photo is wearing white sandals - so let's assume these are the right shoes.
Accessories: royal blue hat and shoulder bag
Shoes: white sandals
I have never ever seen Fleur outfit 1222 in the box - if you have a NRFB photo, please send me a message via the contact form, I would love to add it to this website for all Fleur fans to enjoy. A boxed outfit would answer a lot of questions. Does Fleur wear something under that cute coat? We don't know. What shoes? Angela at vintage_fleur_doll says they should be black boots as it's winter, and the pants are cropped. That is most likely right. In the bottom left photo (from an Otto Simon catalogue), Fleur is wearing flat black bow shoes - I put the same shoes on my model. It is a good clue, but we can't be too reliant on it, because catalogues don't always show the exact final product.
There are two known variations of the pants fabric - thanks again to Angela for the photos.
Accessories: white fur hat and muff
Shoes: unknown, but probably black knee-high boots
Fleur outfit 1223 is a beautiful evening dress of pink, white and sliver. The top has pink fabric straps, and the bodice is made of the same fabric as the shawl. There are several variations of the bodice fabric (you can see two in the photos, and more exist).
The skirt is light pink and has two layers - soft pink fabric with gauze on top. The gauze layer is often missing - this is because it's very delicate and probably has been cut away because it was damaged. In the photos below, you can see the skirt both with and without this top layer - but in its ideal state, the skirt must have both layers.
We don't know what shoes come with this outfit, but the catalogue photo (middle top row) shows the ugly white sandals. Classic high heels would have been better!
Accessories: short pearl necklace, silver clutch bag, triangular shawl
Shoes: white sandals
Vests were very popular in the early 1980s - so here's another vest combo. Fleur outfit 1224 is a flowing skirt of blue fabric overprinted with small red roses. The vest is made of the same flower fabric and trimmed with red, worn over a white shirt with elbow-length sleeves. The shirt is easily identified by its fabric - it's a very thin synthetic mesh. Thank you Angela at vintage_fleur_doll for a close-up photo (bottom right).
Accessories: long white bead necklace, red shoulder bag, red ribbon
Shoes: white sandals
I think Secretary Fleur would have loved outfit 1225 - doesn't it look perfect for the office? It is a lovely set of bright red A-line skirt and tailored jacket, paired with a white-and-red check shirt. The jacked has a small embroidered flower glued to the lapel.
Accessories: red shoulder bag
Shoes: white sandals
Fleur outfit 1226 looks comfortable and practical - a muted green corduroy jacket and pants, worn with a sleeveless turtleneck top (the same top as Marinelook outfit 1272). That sassy cap is a very nice touch. The colour of this outfit can also be more gray than green - not a fabric variation, but probably a result of dye intensity, or laundry, or simply age. The photo of NRFB outfit is not from my collection - source unknown.
Accessories: green corduroy cap, shoulder bag with long rope handle
Shoes: white sandals
Fleur has some gardening to do - and she's got outfit 1227 to do it in. Her cute denim overalls go over a blue-and-white check shirt with short sleeves. The denim could be light or dark blue. Her overalls are easily recognised by their red decorative stitching.
Accessories: straw hat with denim trim, straw bag with denim handles and red flower button
Shoes: white sandals
Time for tennis fashion! Fleur outfit 1228 is a double set of two tops - one white, one dark blue - blue shorts and white skirt, all decorated with Fleur's signature red and blue stripe. The shoes are a strange choice - who plays tennis in sandals? My two posing Fleurs are wearing proper running shoes (as they should be).
Fun fact: Fleur must have loved tennis, because she also has outfit 1287, is a Tennisstar, or just plays casual Tennis for fun.
Accessories: Dunlop tennis racket, visor, white terrycloth towel, white socks
Shoes: white sandals
Fleur outfit 1229 is a collection of four mix-and-match fashions called Mix-Mode - visit the Mix-Mode page to read all about them.
