Designer Fashions is a very small but glam collection of four Fleur outfits. All outfits share one catalogue number 385-1232. Below you see the collection photo as it appeared in the 1988 trade catalogue.
'Make it shiny' seemed to be the designer's brief, because everything here glitters and sparkles. These are outfits to wear on the red carpet, or at a fashion show, or any place where photographers are, really.
Mixing black and gold always says 'this is serious glamour'. Add a knee-length gold cape with a huge collar for additional 'glamorous wizard' vibes! This Fleur outfit is a combo of black pants, black shirt with a sewn-on gold vest front and collar, and the aforementioned cape. Please note the very nice diagonal cuffs on the bottom of the pants.
Accessories: gold shoulder bag
Shoes: gold high heels (pumps)
If you are meeting royalty for dinner at seven, but have a film premiere at eight, well - this is what you'd wear! This Fleur outfit is a fitted floor-length gold strapless dress, accessorised with gold shoes and bag, and paired with a dramatic ankle-length dark blue cape with a big frill collar. The cape is fully lined with white fabric - you cannot see this in the promo photo, but you can in the box. This outfit is beautifully made, and my favourite of the four.
Accessories: gold shoulder bag, white feather boa
Shoes: gold high heels (pumps)
This yellow Designer Fashions Fleur gown doesn't have any glitter or gold, but it still shines like sunlight. The strapless dress with the full princess skirt (I get strong Belle vibes, don't you?) is made from a gorgeous yellow fabric with a satin sheen, and comes with a matching fabric bag. There is also a collared cape - of course - of sheer yellow organza. All parts of this Fleur outfit are trimmed with a sweet rainbow lacy border.
Accessories: yellow fabric bag
Shoes: gold high heels (pumps)
Welcome to metallic mania! This Fleur outfit is positively electrifying in both colour and fabric choice. I've always loved pink and blue together - well, this is how they did it in the 1980s! Fleur wears a plain metallic blue top over generously pleated pants of patterned blue fabric. On top - a pink shirt with long puffy sleeves and mandarin collar, made of the same pattern fabric as the pants.
Accessories: silver bag, pearl necklace, wide silver belt
Shoes: plain white high heels (pumps)
