This is the loveliest Fleur bedroom of all, and my personal favourite. This set first appears in the 1982 trade catalogue, and later in the 1986 Fleur booklet (included with most dolls sold that year). It was most likely available to buy all the way until end of Fleur production, around 1988.
The bedroom has three pieces: a bed, a make-up table, and a bedside table, all in matching pink and white colours. Both tables have working lights - a small battery and a mini lightbulb (E10, I believe) is needed for each. Every item was sold separately.
I have never seen these furniture designs used by another toy company, so this bedroom is probably the only unique furniture set Fleur ever had.
The Romantic Bed is sold in one piece - no assembly required. It is a white bed frame with golden decorative knobs on each corner, It comes with a yellow sponge mattress, and very simple bedding - a bed cover made of pink-white gingham fabric, and a sponge pillow with a pillow case. The promo photo above comes from the big 1986 booklet - interestingly, the bed in this photo has a bed cover and a duvet of the same fabric. This was probably done just for the photo.
The Make-Up Table is a very beautiful item, with a slightly Victorian vibe (note the table edges, legs and drawer knobs). The table is white, and the drawer knobs are gold, but in time they may fade to gray. Both drawers pull out. A fluffy pink rug goes on the floor. The white chair has a pink back, and a seat cushion upholstered in the same pink-white gingham fabric as the bedding. The box includes a plastic baggie of accessories: pink comb, mirror, powder compact, and three jars of various shapes.
Inside the mirror box there is a pink section - this is where the lightbulb goes (I believe you need an E10 miniature lightbulb, typically used in dollhouses). Look below for the original instructions.
The Bedside-Table is the cute little sister (brother?) of the Make-Up Table above. It features the same slightly Victorian vibe in its design, and you can see how nice it looks when the knob has its original gold colour. The knob serves here as an on-off switch for the lamp, which I believe needs an E10 lighbulb (used for most dollhouses). When switched on, it has a lovely glow, thanks to the pink lampshade. The lamp is permanently attached to the table, due to the wiring. I have added the original assembly instructions below.
The table comes with two accessories in a little baggie - a telephone and an alarm clock. When you turn the knob on the alarm clock side, the display rotates through 4 or 5 pre-printed numbers.
