Fleur Furniture
Baby
The Fleur Pretty Baby furniture collection was launched together - all five pieces - in 1986. It was about time - Fleur had three babies since around 1979 (you can have so much fun speculating where they came from). The babies had to wait until 1986 to have their own furniture - but it was so worth it. The sets are super-cute, well made, and packaged in unique yellow boxes with stripes.
The two photos below are the official promo photos for the Pretty Baby set.
COMING SOON - full Pretty Baby page with babies and outfits.

2317 Fleur Pretty Baby Playpen
The frame of the Pretty Baby playpen folds flat for easy storage - a very clever idea. Thanks to this, the playpen fits in a small box. There are some differences in item colour - compare the box photo with promo photo with the actual item. The fames and bases are all different colours, and so is the cushion (which is removable).

2318 Fleur Pretty Baby Commode
This cute commode is a storage unit, changing table and entertainment center in one (don't you love the little clown?). The cupboard and drawer open, just like the real thing. The red vinyl cushion and the clown with hanger are removable.

2319 Fleur Pretty Baby Chair
A simple flip, and this baby high chair turns into a low chair with table - on wheels! It is a very cute and clever design, and requires no assembly at all. The seat is made of two separate, removable vinyl cushions.

2320 Fleur Pretty Baby Bed
This very realistic baby bed comes fully assembled, ready for the lovely Fleur baby. It doesn't have any bedding, but you can always borrow it from the pram, or make it yourself, which is great fun. The red vinyl mattress is removable.

2325 Pretty Baby Carriage Green Yellow
This cute baby carriage (pram) is the fifth piece of the Pretty Baby set, although it's not Fleur's first. Look below for the identical carriage in yellow-red colours, which was sold two years before this one. Their key difference is the extras - this carriage comes empty, with nothing added. However, if you had already purchased any Pretty Baby items (page coming soon), you would have plenty of babies and toys to put in this carriage.
The carriage itself is very realistically made, with smooth-turning wheels and a reversible hood and basket that could be placed on the front or the back of the carriage. Unfortunately, it is also fragile, and could break when dropped on the floor.
There is no official promo photo for this carriage. The photo with Fleur comes from the 1986 booklet. In the photo, Fleur is wearing outfit 1285. Photo of pram with green hood courtesy of fashiondollshop.nl

2311 Baby Carriage Red Yellow
Chronologically, this yellow-red baby carriage (pram) was the first baby furniture item Fleur ever had - released around 1984. However, I have put it at the end so you can easily see it is identical to the yellow-green carriage above (which was released about two years later). The key difference between them is the extras - this carriage comes with a baby and a full set of bedding, making it a much more attractive item.
The carriage was sold in two yellow-red colour arrangements. Some carriages have red baskets (as you can see in the promo photo). The carriages are reversible, meaning you can put the hood and the small basket at the front or back. Overall, they are great to play with, but also fragile. If dropped on the floor, they break very easily, so best to handle with care.
The Fleur doll in the promo photo is Shopping Fleur, and a new Pretty Baby page is coming soon!

Was this furniture made just for Fleur?
Pretty Baby furniture was not a Fleur exclusive. Photos of clones coming soon!
