This brown living room is probably Fleur's most recognisable set, and one with the most pieces. It was sold from 1979 and new pieces were added every year until at least mid-1980s.

All parts of the living room were sold separately. The full set is below in order of catalogue number: chair • round table • couch • cupboard • tea trolley • candleholder + cornertable • clock • 2 chairs • rocking chair • dining table • desk + chair.

2341 Chair

This chair is really an armchair in a classic 70s style and colour (brown!). It's made in one piece from heavy, squishy rubber pretending to be leather. If you don't have this chair, you should know it smells funny.

2343 Round Table

Fleur's low, round coffee table is made of brown plastic in one piece. It just begs to be loaded with tea and cake, like in the Fleur tea party promo photo below.

2344 Couch

Fleur's brown couch is about double the size of the armchair, so two Fleurs can sit on it very comfortably for a gossip. It's also made in one piece from heavy, squishy brown rubber (with the same funny smell as the armchair).

2347 Cupboard

Fleur cupboard is a large showpiece for her living room or dining room. Every door and drawer opens, and items can be beautifully arranged for display in the upper part. The yellow back of the cupboard makes it look like a light is shining inside.

2358 Tea-Trolley

A tea-trolley (sometimes also called a hostess trolley) is a classic piece of 70s furniture. It's too bad these trolleys are not in fashion anymore, because they are fabulous. Of course, Fleur was the best hostess (and her cousin Sindy also had a trolley), so this was a must-have piece in her living room. The trolley has four working wheels and is made of brown plastic in one piece (no assembly required).

2359 Candleholder and Cornertable

In this box, you get two pieces - a tall candleholder and a lovely little corner table, both made of brown plastic. Unfortunately, the upper lamp-shaped parts of the candleholder break off easily, so if you buy this piece, keep some glue handy to put it back together. The box picture shows red lamps, but in real life they are always white. Mysteriously, in the promo photo for Fleur stereo set (coming soon), you see the red version in the background. The easy answer is: this piece isn't exclusive to Fleur, other toy companies used it too, so it was made in different colours at the same factory. I have always seen Fleur version only in white.

2369 Clock

In the furniture promo photo below, you see the clock behind Flower Girl Fleur. If you think it's a bit small, you're not wrong - this clock is not the correct scale for Fleur. This is because - as other living room pieces - it was not designed exclusively for Fleur, but used by other toy companies for various dolls. Nevertheless, the clock is very realistic and nicely made, with opening door and drawer. The face of the clock could be yellow (pretending to be gold) or gray (pretending to be silver).

2383 Two Chairs

The chairs are both made of brown plastic, and come with one cushion each (in at least two fabric patterns). Please note how the two chairs match the desk, the dining table and the rocking chair perfectly. You can assemble a lovely living/dining room diorama from all these pieces.

Big thanks to Angela at vintage_fleur_doll for the photo of chairs in the box and catalogue number..

2384 Rocking-Chair

Fleur's lovely rocking chair - like the tea-trolley - is a vintage piece of furniture no longer commonly found in living rooms. It's a one-piece chair made of brown plastic, with the cushion packed in a plastic baggie when it's NRFB. There were at least two fabric patterns for the cushion.

2385 Dining Table

This is technically a dining room table, but could also be used in the kitchen. The table is made in one piece from brown plastic, and has a more modern design than Fleur's first dining table (photo coming soon).

2386 Desk + Chair

This may be my favourite piece of Fleur furniture - desk + chair. It's very realistic and pretty, with drawers that open, and a matching chair. You may notice that the desk is actually the same as the dining room table above, but with drawers attached.

Is this furniture exclusive to Fleur?

Some of this living room furniture is not exclusive to Fleur. Otto Simon often used pre-existing factory molds to produce Fleur furniture. This could be for a few reasons: faster production (product could be on shelves quicker), lower costs (new designs and prototypes are expensive), no copyright issues (it was not excusive). All these things are good, but there are also drawbacks. Some furniture is the wrong size for Fleur (the clock is a great example), and sometimes it's hard to know if the item is a Fleur variation, or made for a different doll.

Here are a few examples of the same furniture designs used by two other toy companies: Petra and Galletti. There are probably quite a few more. In general, all Fleur living room furniture was brown. If you have a different colour, it is not a variation, but a product of a different toy company.
